A must when you visit

SCARBOROUGH

North Yorkshire, UK.

A  trip  on  a  LIFEBOAT.

The lovingly restored and faithfully preserved,
            ON 871, 'William Cantrell Ashley'.

Sailing daily out of Scarborough Harbour, during the Summer,
weather permitting, to visit the Seal and Seabird Colonies in and
on the cliffs and rock outcrops.

A must for the enthusiast and amateur alike.
Children welcome and catered for.
SEALS, PORPOISE, PUFFIN and more, All in their natural habitat,
according to season.
Each Cruise takes a full Two hours, sailing out of Scarborough Harbour, along the beautiful Yorkshire Coast, south past the wide expanse of Cayton Bay and under the magnificent cliffs at Gristhorpe and Lebberston, towards Filey.
Sailing as close as possible to the huge rock outcrop known locally as Old Horse Rocks, where colonies of Common Seals and Grey Seals are seen sunbathing on the rocks or bobbing up in the water around the boat, as anxious to observe you, as you are to see them.
Sailing further south and tight in under Gristhorpe cliffs, following the footsteps of ancient Smugglers, can be seen many different, sometimes rare species of Seabird, according to the season, and especially the Puffin which is very popular with adults and childen alike.
A site to be seen and not easily forgotten.
During the voyage will be seen many wonderful sights, that can only be seen from a boat and where few other vessels, other than a lifeboat, would venture.
The alert enthusiast may also catch sight, as the boat crosses Cayton Bay, of what can only be described as a magnificent sight, where a school of Porpoise (part of he Dolphin family) break surface, as they rise out of the water, while chasing a shoal of fish.
This Summer Season, weather and tides permitting, sailings will be  approximately every 2 hours, commencing at 'around' 11 am each morning. (7days a week)
For your comfort, passengers are limited to 12 per trip.
Private parties and advanced bookings catered for.
The aim being to only cover costs and preserve this Lifeboat for as long as possible, the operators therefore ask that you pay, for this great trip, the very modest fee of only

£6 per Adult and £3 per child (under 14 yrs).
